GOAL

Our social media posts solely comprised renderings, lacking engagement and failing to attract a broader audience.

ACTIONS

ANALYZE

Casually browsed through reels, posts, and the explore page to observe trending content. Monitored Instagram accounts with higher likes, noted their used hashtags, and analyzed the aesthetic of their pages to stay up to date on trends.

ENGAGEMENT

Our social media approach focused on building strong connections with our audience through active engagement. We ensured prompt responses to all mentions and tags, demonstrating our commitment to genuine interactions. Additionally, we supported our followers’ content by engaging with their stories, fostering a sense of community.

DEVELOP A CONTENT CALENDAR

Worked closely with the marketing manager to strategize upcoming promotions and key areas of focus to maintain the content calendar’s schedule efficiently and reduce the time spent on content creation. The calendar outlined posting days, scheduled photoshoots, and editing timelines, all while considering the workload outside of social media for each week.

ROUGH DRAFT

Developed a structured excel sheet for our content calendar with drop down menus and track of hashtags, our trending posts and competitors.

CONCLUSION

DISCOVERING THE AUDIENCE

The diverse audience, including potential customers, past patrons, and partners, guided our content strategy. Recognizing the appeal of new products, behind-the-scenes insights, and mood boards, we tailored our material accordingly. With a focus on aesthetically pleasing kitchens and practical tips, we created engaging content through mood boards and captivating reels to resonate with our audience effectively.

CREATE CONTENT

To create mood boards, I utilized Photoshop to incorporate items sourced from our vendors, aiming to broaden our audience reach. Additionally, I strategically included relevant hashtags and tags to enhance visibility and engagement.

ORCHASTRATE PHOTOSHOOTS

Our photography predominantly featured kitchens from 2015-2018, lacking a representation of modern-day designs. To address this, I organized a brief two-hour photoshoot using an iPhone 11, followed by post-processing adjustments using Lightroom to enhance the images.

RESULTS

Our social media platform experienced a notable surge in views and followers, indicating increased engagement among our audience. The content also witnessed higher levels of sharing, providing us with an effective platform to showcase our work to potential customers. Furthermore, our page evolved beyond merely showcasing designer renderings, highlighting the comprehensive capabilities of our company in both design and manufacturing.

KEY TAKEWAYS

Utilizing available resources and leveraging photo editing tools proved we can maximize the impact of our content.

While not every post garnered significant attention, maintaining an active presence allowed us to consistently showcase our company’s strengths and expertise to our audience.

IF I COULD CHANGE SOMETHING…

Utilized a summary grid tool like ‘linkin.bio’ to overcome Instagram’s restriction on post links. This tool encouraged viewers to explore posts further by clicking the link in our bio, thereby driving traffic to both our profile and website. This strategy not only enhanced engagement but also contributed to increased website traffic, ultimately improving our visibility on search engines.

Enlisting assistance for photoshoots would enable me to allocate more time to capturing videos. Initially, the process of sorting through and editing photos took longer than anticipated, impacting the execution of our content calendar. While I managed to fulfill the tasks, having additional support could have allowed for the creation of a greater volume of content. Recognizing the value of engaging visual content on social media, the photos taken during these shoots could also serve as valuable assets for future video projects.
